What the trial measured
Brix compared across two plots, on camera
THE STANDOUT RESULT- On camera, a handheld refractometer compares Brix readings between two adjacent plots in the same field: one given a single watering with structured water, the other untreated.
- The structured-water plot was lower grade at sampling, described as second choice and rejected at that morning's harvest for size or color, while the comparison plot had matured undisturbed for a couple of additional weeks.
- Despite the lower grade, the structured-water plot tested roughly 20% higher in Brix within 48 hours of that single watering.
- One week later, in a phone call that was not filmed, Johnson reported the structured-water area averaging Brix readings above 9, higher, he says, than the best readings recorded anywhere in the field before the unit was installed.

Strawberries are a Brix crop. Sugar sets the grade, the price and the shelf life, so a grower talking about a 20% swing is talking about money in a way that a turf manager talking about liters is not. Two interviews, filmed separately, both report a fast Brix response to a single watering with structured water.
The result worth sitting with is the second interview's plot comparison: a handheld refractometer, on camera, showing a 20% Brix gap between two adjacent plots within 48 hours of one watering, in fruit that was already graded lower. Johnson's own explanation for the mechanism is energetic rather than chemical, an analogy to rainwater picking up charge as it falls. That is a proposed mechanism, not a measured one, and it has no established support in mainstream soil or plant science.
The first interview tells a slower version of the same story: a gradient in Brix, berry size and production running down the length of one field from the buried unit, with a visible line about a thousand feet out. If that line is real and repeatable, it would be straightforward to sample properly, with a logged dataset and marked points instead of a camera crew.
What neither video proves: there is no instrument log, no randomisation, no independent sampling, and no control for the other variables that run down a field, soil, irrigation, microclimate, plant age. Both interviews describe a similar 20%-in-48-hours figure through different setups, and nothing here confirms whether that is one effect recalled twice or two separate occasions. This is testimony, not data.
President Water's own executive summaries flag one further point, clearly marked there as interpretation rather than an on-camera claim: if these reported Brix gains held up under controlled, replicated testing at commercial scale, they could plausibly support a meaningful increase in bottom-line value for a large operation, more fruit meeting premium grade, and reduced fertilizer spend. That is President Water's reading of the numbers, not a claim Johnson or Riggins make on camera, and it still needs economic modelling and independent trial validation before it means anything.
