The Western Australian Golf Club · Irrigation Upgrade

An 8 inch and a 10 inch unit went in during May 2026 as part of a multi-million dollar irrigation upgrade, driven by a 10% cut to the club's water license from 2028. Water, pump efficiency, labor, hardware and fertilizer are all being monitored.

Conducted by The Western Australian Golf Club, monitoring in progress. No results are claimed until a full metered season completes.

KEY FINDINGS

What the trial measured

What has been installed, and why

THE STANDOUT RESULT
  • An 8 inch (200mm) and a 10 inch (250mm) President Water vortex generator were installed in May 2026.
  • They form part of a multi-million dollar irrigation upgrade at the club.
  • The upgrade responds to a 10% reduction in the club's water license, which takes effect from 2028.
  • The club committed to the inline units before the hand watering trial had concluded, on President Water's documented results elsewhere.
  • No metered season has completed. There are no performance figures for these units yet and none are claimed here.

What is being monitored

  • Water usage across the upgraded system.
  • Pump efficiency.
  • Labor hours.
  • Hardware, including sprinkler heads.
  • Fertilizer use.
  • The full case study is expected in 2027, once a complete season has been measured.
WHY THIS MATTERS

This page has no results on it, which is the point of it.

A 10% cut to a water license in 2028 is not a soft target a club can manage around. It is a hard reduction in the water available to keep a championship course playable, and every course in the state on a license is facing the same arithmetic.

The club's answer was a multi-million dollar irrigation upgrade with vortex generators in it, committed before the small-scale trial had even finished. That purchasing decision is a stronger signal than any number a marketing page could put in front of you.

What it is not is evidence that the units work at this scale. That evidence does not exist yet. A full metered season closes in 2027 and this page will carry the numbers then, whatever they say.
